Women’s History Marker Unveiled, Salem
I do event photography for Suffrage 100 MA, which was formed to celebrate the 100th anniversary of American women getting the vote. This event was the unveiling of a historic marker in Salem, recognizing the Remond family, who were activists for abolition and suffrage, among other things. They were a free Black family who had a catering business in this very building, Hamilton Hall, in the 1800s. One of the speakers was a descendant of the family, which made the connection to the past even stronger. So much good energy!
