MIRA “Our Shared Table”
MIRA (Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition) held this event before Thanksgiving, at the Massachusetts State House. They had a dynamic speaker discussing TPS for Haitian refugees, a DACA recipient who gave a moving speech about her experiences, and several others, including the State’s Attorney General, Maura Healey.

Paola Sánchez, who came to the U.S. from Bolivia at age 14, and has worked full-time to support herself and her mom and sisters back home since she was a teenager, shared her own story and her growing fears with the termination of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
