Lucia Lin portraits

Lucia Lin is a gifted violinist with the the Boston Symphony among other things. A magical bit of this photo session was when I asked her to play for a bit… and something about that gorgeous, rich sound pouring over the sunny field… so unexpected and kind of just for me… Man!

We made these portraits for a new website introducing her project, In Tandem. It’s dedicated to bringing new voices and breaking barriers of color in classical music. See lucialin.com for duet videos from the project. @lucialinviolin

I do love the expression on her face in this first one, and how the wind showed up for the ones where she is playing.
